Made in the ultimate tailoring fabric, the pure wool superfine from Hainsworths - very expensive and 5m went into it - the cost was £300 for fabric alone!  It needs to be worn over period appropriate stays and petticoat.  This habit has been worn once, the price is discounted!.    Features:  * stunning wool, highest quality, soft and medium weight, woven tightly - doesn't fray!  *  bodice decorated lavishly in wool soutache braiding, with decorative and functional buttons, all hand applied.  the front, lapels and collar are all tailored, padstitched over canvas and faced with the same wool,  * a tie with a buckle, a period feature that enables the wearer to keep the bodice open without compromining the fit and security.  * unlined, pleated peplum * linen canvas interlining , linne lining in the bodice - sleeves unlined. just withe a stitched cuff *    the skirt opens on the side, handstitched buttonholes and wool covered buttons. it is suspended on two shoulder straps - these could be amended as required. cartridge pleated into a waistband * the skirt is long, designed to drape long in the saddle, with cut edge - the fabric didn't require hemming. It can be easily shortened to a lenght suitable for  a shorter person - or cut short all the way around for a walking habit.  Handstitched with a linen thread throughout *Hat by Farthingale Hats included  (  this alone was abourt £200), other accessories are not.   Measurements: * fully closed bodice -bust  41" (105cm),  underbust waist 36" (94cm)  *back width ( between the shoulder blades) 15" (38cm),     * Skirt length in front : 60" (152cm
