Analyse de l'application Shade On You pour le 10 octobre

Shade On You helps you choose a more comfortable seat on Hong Kong buses, green minibuses and trams. Find stops, explore routes and plan your journey, then compare the direct sunlight expected on the left and right sides. Prefer shade on a hot afternoon, or choose the sunnier side: the recommendation follows your preference. BUSES, GREEN MINIBUSES AND TRAMS Browse routes, select boarding and alighting stops and inspect the map or stop list. SUNLIGHT AND SHADE ALONG YOUR JOURNEY Calculations combine the sun’s position, route geometry and Hong Kong’s 3D building and terrain data. At observation points along the route, the app checks whether buildings or terrain obstruct incoming sunlight, then estimates direct exposure on each side. Choose your departure time and, for buses, an upper- or lower-deck preference. Green minibuses use the lower observation profile. The result shows your selected deck, a left/right comparison and a colour- and pattern-coded exposure map. ARRIVALS, WEATHER AND JOURNEY GUIDANCE Check upcoming arrivals on supported routes and see explicitly scheduled services marked where the provider supplies that information. Weather and UV information provide additional context when available. Tram arrival estimates are not currently available. Start an active journey to follow route progress and upcoming changes in sun exposure. Location permission is optional for planning; live journey progress needs location along your selected route. EXPLORE AND KEEP DATA OFFLINE Without a usable Hong Kong location, explore the territory-wide stop map with grouped markers. Download regional calculation data for offline use. Download sizes are shown before confirmation, and update checks let you decide when to install. Maps, live arrivals and weather may need an internet connection. Available in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and French. iOS 18 receives limited support; feature updates and fixes may arrive less frequently or later than on newer supported versions. Sunlight and shade results are estimates, not guarantees of shade or UV protection. Vehicle layout, timing, weather, data age, temporary obstructions and other conditions can affect actual exposure.
