Jesus didn't come to Earth to start a religion; he came to Earth to end religion, forever. Jesus came as the second and last Adam to redeem and restore all that Adam lost in the garden. Adam didn't lose religion; he lost the right to rule and reign when he rebelled against God and listened to the serpent. God created Man in his image, and gave Adam dominion over the Earth, and then commanded him to be fruitful and multiply.
