Analyse de l'application StreamCap pour le 5 octobre

StreamCap presents a simplified numerical model of river capture (stream piracy) driven by headward erosion competition between adjacent channels. Adjust three controls: • Slope contrast between the capturer and the captive stream • Discharge ratio that scales relative incision capacity • Lithology contrast that strengthens or weakens the divide Watch the drainage pattern move through three stages: Pre-capture — two independent rivers and an intact watershed divide Capture underway — headward erosion opens a wind gap across the divide Post-capture — upstream reaches divert into the capturer; a beheaded reach, capture elbow, and reversed segment can appear Tap labeled landform units on the map to read formation mechanisms and typical traits for wind gap, capture elbow, beheaded river, reversed river, and diverted river. Scenarios let you apply presets and compare capture likelihood, relative time to breach, and elbow sharpness. Archive keeps selected runs and notes on this device only. StreamCap does not include sharing or export features.
