The mobile id allows a reliable online authentication, an easy establishment of the electronic signature, the completion of administrative procedures and the retrieval of official documents online in a simple manner, 24 hours per day and without having to go to the administration. The e-Houwiya application allows all Tunisians residing in Tunisia and abroad, aged 18 or over and holding a national identity card, to obtain a mobile identity and use it with ease, secure and simple way. The mobile id is linked to the citizen's unique identifier and is based either on the telephone device or on the telephone number for receiving verification codes. The verification codes are necessary in every online access and in every electronic signature operation carried out using the citizen's certificate and signature keys.
