You can play against the computer (Play with Computer mode); or with others who are in the same place as you, using the same device (Local Multiplayer mode), or with others who are in different locations (Online Multiplayer mode or Play with Friends mode). Each player gets four tokens to place in their “home” square. You then take turns tossing four cowrie shells. Points: • If all four cowries land face up (open), you get 4 points. • If all four cowries land face down (closed), you get 8 points. • If one, two, or three cowries land face up (open), you get 1, 2, or 3 points respectively. Consecutive Throws in a Single Turn: • If you throw a 4 or 8, then you can move your token and throw them again. Killing Competitor Tokens: You have to kill at least one competitor token in the outer circle to be allowed to move into the inner circle. You can kill a competitor token by landing your token in the same square. Playing After Achieving a Win State: Once you get all your tokens into the center square, you’ve won.
