The Bible in the Dari language is now available for your iPhone with audio synchronisation of many books/chapters! This is the "Today's Dari Version 2008" translation as shown at afghanbibles.org. It includes both the Old and New Testaments (so contains the Tawrat, Prophets, Zabur, Proverbs, Injil) Simply browse the books that you want and read them in the Dari language. Use the play button to play the audio (for many books, text will move/highlight with playback) Features include zoom and colour, verse-of-the-day reminders, gospel videos, as well as a handy search facility. This application includes the font needed to display Dari ligatures appropriately. You can tap on cross references to see related passages, and choose whether to view paragraphs or single line verses. You can also turn on or off verse numbers. Select a passage and tap the share function to try image overlays for social media sharing. This is an offline app which does not require internet access for text, however video playback does require internet access. Audio files are downloaded upon first use. The app contains no advertising or other intrusive features and does not seek to interpret the text.
