Squirrel News is a constructive, solutions-focused news app. Our team of independent journalists collect the most important solutions-focused stories from international media and bundle them into free daily editions. THE SQUIRREL PRINCIPLE Are you irked by the fact that most news consists of conflicts, scandals, wars and disasters? Then you've come to the right place. We collect solutions-focused news stories, which otherwise might be tricky to find: reports on innovative ideas and solutions to societal challenges, examples of best practice, and stories of success. A NON-PROFIT PROJECT Our app is 100% free of charge. To cover our costs, we rely on regular voluntary donations. This way, we remain free and independent of corporate investors, sponsors and advertisers. Squirrel News is a project of the German registered charity Constructive News e.V. This means that all revenues are reinvested into the project, and we don’t keep any profits for ourselves. OUR TEAM We are an international team of journalists with headquarters in Berlin, Germany. We hand-pick all news stories and carefully weigh them according to journalistic criteria. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS We publish our issues three times per week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. As soon as a new issue is ready, we’ll inform you via push notification.
