The objective of this practice is to keep the aquarium ecosystem in balance and not to let it die. As time progresses, the ecosystem will gradually begin to grow in population and there will be alterations in the conditions of the ecosystem in relation to its degree of contamination, temperature, food availability, amount of light and oxygen.
