true north kitchen + bar in weymouth, ma. joe and janet campbell opened true north kitchen + bar in september 2017 at the iconic site that was formerly kelly's landing. joe is a 50 year veteran of the industry and started this journey as a 13 year old in hingham, ma. we designed this concept to fulfill a missing niche in the market. we are the go-to neighborhood spot for reasonably priced great scratch made food, craft beers, and cocktails. janet works the front and welcomes everyone with genuine caring and compassion. we gutted the building and janet designed a welcoming space that is laid out for fun interactions with the other guests and the staff. kelly's customers who walked in after we finished couldn't believe it was the same place! here we are three years later and despite the cover-19 pandemic we are re-opening our doors to the delight of the hundreds of regular customers that we have become friends with. chef ben campbell has been the guiding force of the culinary team since before we opened. he brings his fine dining techniques and crazy creativity to reimagining classics like the chicken parm with cacio e pepe, shrimp scampi risotto and the hot nashville chicken sandwich. we are available for socially distanced outdoor dining on the cozy patio, indoor dining, takeout, curbside pickup, catering, and events.
