Bagru printing is one of the ancient natural-colour printing techniques practiced by the Chippas of a remote part of Rajasthan. The procedure begins with preparing the cloth and ends with final printed fabrics using indigenous processes. Motifs with a specialty are transferred onto a light-coloured backdrop using wooden blocks in two styles: direct and resist.
