Recently acquired a circa 1992 #6-1818 Southern Railways 4501 steam locomotive with Railsounds. Das Original Großbritannien, Amerika und Frankreich hatten bis 1850 mehrere bemerkenswerte Heißluftmotoren vorgestellt. Überraschenderweise hatte Deutschland bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt keine bedeutenden Innovationen in diesem Bereich hervorgebracht, erst 1867 brachte der Deutsche Wilhelm Lehmann eine bedeutende Neuerung auf dem Gebiet der Heißluftmaschinen hervor. Eine späte Innovation, aber eine beeindruckende: der Lehmann-Luftexpansionsmotor! Das Modell Stirlingmotor Rainer Das Modell von dem Lehmann Stirlingmotor hat eine Gesamtlänge von 285 Millimeter. Wir haben uns bei der Konstruktion unseres Stirlingmotors versucht so nah wie möglich am Original zu orientiert. Jedoch ist es keine 100% Kopie des Originals. Unser Modell wird mit einem Spiritus Brenner betrieben. Der Brenner ist fest mit der Grundplatte aus Eiche verschraubt. Der Kühlmantel der beim Original ein massives Gussteil war wird bei uns aus mehreren Messing Frästeilen zusammengesetzt und weichgelötet. Das Modell verfügt genauso wie der Original Lehmann Stirlingmotor über einen funktionsfähigen Fliehkraftregler der die Geschwindigkeit der Heißluftmaschine regeln kann. Wie beim Original öffnet der Fliehkraftregler ein Ventil das es der Luft im Arbeitsraum des Stirlings ermöglicht zu entweichen. Das Schwungrad mit 140 mm Durchmesser besteht aus einem sehr sauberen Stahlguss. Zusätzlich verfügt der Stirlingmotor noch über ein 48mm Riemenscheibe mit der man zum Beispiel kleine Antriebsmodelle antreiben könnte. Drehzahlregelung über Fliehkraftregler Dieser Stirlingmotor verfügt über einen funktionierenden Fliehkraftregler. Bei ausreichender Geschwindigkeit heben sich die Kugeln des Regler. Dadurch wird ein Hebel bewegt der ein Ventil betätigt. Wird das Ventil geöffnet kann die Arbeitsluft aus dem Verdrängungszylinder entweichen. Durch den verringerten Druck funktioniert der Stirling Prozess nicht mehr optimal und der Motor verringert seine Geschwindigkeit. Zum einstellen der gewünschten Geschwindigkeit kan
