A finned backstrip, but for LEFTIES.  Based on the Exile Machine backfin for Magpul MIAD 1.1 grips, this finned backstrap was created as a solution to California's idiotic assault weapon laws. This backstrap converts a "pistol grip" Magpul MIAD 1.1 grip to a finned grip that is allowed on "featureless" semi-automatic rifles. When you leave the state, simply replace this with a normal backstrap, and you are good-to-go without having to unscrew and remove your grip. This product was designed for use with the gen 1.1 MIAD Type 1 grip. If you have the original 1.0 MIAD, this item will work but the fit will be very tight; you'll probably have to tap it on and off with a mallet for installation and removal. This item is NOT compatible with Type 2 grips, which are designed for use with AR-10's and have wider rails to support the heavier platform.       Terms of Use: This item is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Generic License.
