Wind Check App is designed for pilots. It determines maximum allowed wind velocity for a Take off or Landing with all possible wind directions. It takes into account all the applicable limitations for the chosen runway condition. It has been created based on experience of many airline pilots and is designed to help the crew make decision of GO/No-GO in the time critical situation. It is suggested that all the basic parameters of a particular take off/landing are inserted beforehand to get the resulting wind maximum velocity handy and compare it with the wind given by ATC rapidly and timely for a GO/No-GO decision. All the coefficients and limitations have been taken into account and the results are displayed in a table.
