Schmersal SLC Assist informs you about the diagnosis and configuration data of your Schmersal safety light curtain via Bluetooth interface. You do not only have all information about your safety light curtain available, SLC Assist is also an important tool for installation, service and documentation. Device and configuration data With the device data you get general information about the light curtain such as the type, the serial number, the protective field resolution and the field height. In device configuration you see the functions which have been parameterized and are enabled. Device status With the display of the device status you see the signal strength of each individual beam in real time, the active operation mode, the status of the OSSD outputs and the status of the protective field. It is self-evident that you see if the protective area is interrupted. Alignment and installation of a light curtain When you align the light curtain, you will use the display of the signal strength of each beam. One star is shown if the quality of the alignment is to be improved. Three stars are displayed when the alignment is perfect. Service and maintenance With a counter you are informed about the number of switching cycles. With this information you will schedule e.g. the service cycles of the safety relay module. The operating hours are shown to define the intervals for the intermediate checks. Documentation To archive the device information and the device data you save the actual status on your smartphone or tablet. This facilitates the documentation e.g. after a functional or intermediate inspection. Additional you may send the actual status via email to store it to your document server.
