This version of the Fighting Cancer Network App is limited to Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer. Other cancers will be added over time. Fighting Cancer Network app is designed to provide actionable knowledge to cancer patients, caregivers, and others who desire to understand a diagnosis and treatment options using highly produced, short videos. The videos are curated to your cancer based on answers to a simple set of questions. The app also includes helpful features such as NOTES for your physicians, Journal called “My Story” which allows you to share and communicate with your friends and family, a Glossary of terms, and medication reminder. A patient armed with knowledge will be better prepared to make decisions about treatment options, communicate with your doctor, and become better acquainted with the diagnostics, procedures systemic treatments, and radiation therapy you can expect in your cancer journey. The NOTES feature allows you to keep track of questions you may have for your physician or things to share with your spouse, family or friends. The My Story feature provide the opportunity to keep a journal of your cancer experience. Each entry can be saved as a private note, or shared with invited family and friends to help in communicating to the many people concerned about your condition. The Glossary provides in-depth information about some of the terms used in your cancer journey. Understanding complicated or even unfamiliar terms helps in your ability to comprehend the important information from the video library.
