MTSBA Events - Improving our members’ knowledge, skills and abilities as champions for our children. At MTSBA, our primary goal is to provide training services that help elected school board members improve their performance and link their role to increased student achievement. Governing a school district requires as much expertise as does teaching and supervising. MTSBA has a variety of professional development offerings designed to equip school boards and their key staff with the knowledge and tools needed to maximize the positive impact of governance and leadership on each student. Our professional development services include opportunities to learn how to improve the governance and operations of your district to keep the focus on students and student achievement. MTSBA designs, continually assesses and adapts its professional development offerings to ensure contemporary relevance and excellence. We offer several free seminars, live and online, throughout the year, to ensure improved knowledge, skills and performance of a board and its leadership team. These seminars and webinars are sufficient to allow an entire board and its administrative leadership team to meet all continuing education requirements and School Board Academy certification levels in a given year without any additional cost above membership.
