Before bringing it into the classroom, please conduct the following short 20-minute exercise: Using a stopwatch, clap once per second for 10 seconds. This corresponds to the far-right button in the timing menu, where 1 second equals 1000 ms. Next, try clapping twice per second, again using the stopwatch. After 10 claps, make sure 5 seconds have passed. This corresponds to button number 2, with a timing of 500 ms. In the same way, practice with button number 3, where 333 ms corresponds to 3 claps per second. For higher tempos, further practice is needed. For 10 beats per second, we suggest replacing normal clapping with gentle, rhythmic hand taps in sync with the 1000 ms timing. After a short period of practice, you will develop a stronger sensitivity to timing.
