You can then add favourite media to personalize their world. Play: You are now ready to start sessions with your player. As a care partner, your role is to encourage your player to use the pad of their finger to tap on the objects they see. They’ll find music, animals, yummy things like chocolates and crunchy apples, and they will meet Julie (Elena in the Greek version), Deva’s virtual companion. Julie loves to help, but sometimes she’ll need your player’s help, too. Be attuned to your player’s responses - ask ‘tell me more’ - and build on responses by adding your own comments and observations on life inside DevaWorld. When and where: DevaWorld is helpful in any care setting and is recommended for care professionals, family members, home helpers, friends, and volunteers. A DevaWorld session is quality one-to-one time together so make sure you are in a quiet place. To end a session: double-tap the ‘end session’ button. Now you can add comments which are sent to the Deva dashboard in the cloud. This feature enables care teams, clinical managers and family members to better support their loved one/client.
