The Cammino di Santa Barbara App allows you to get to know a 500 km long historical, cultural, environmental and religious itinerary divided into 30 stages, walking along the ancient mining paths of south-western Sardinia. The interactive map allows you to view your position on the route via the device's GPS, even without an internet connection: maps and tracks can be pre-loaded, avoiding roaming costs. In the event of distraction, an alarm warns you if you stray from the route, and you can report any problems on the routes by communicating your GPS position. Accommodation facilities, services and points of interest along the routes are located on the map, and can be contacted directly from the smartphone. The App was developed by the Cammino Minerario di Santa Barbara Foundation with the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
