Sebastian Bach, the original voice of Skid Row, to headline the festival Downers Grove Grade School District 58 invites the community to attend Downers Grove Oktoberfest on Friday, Sept. 17 from 3-11 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 18 from noon to 6 p.m. The festival will close for one hour and reopen on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 7-11 p.m. for the ticketed music headliner. Oktoberfest will take place in downtown Downers Grove at the Main Street Train Station. Oktoberfest is hosted by the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58, and all proceeds will benefit District 58. Oktoberfest will feature national headliner Sebastian Bach on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 9:30 p.m. Sebastian Bach is the original voice of Skid Row. Sebastian Bach has sold in excess of 20 million records worldwide as lead singer of his former band, Skid Row, and as a solo artist. Far from just being a multi-platinum recording artist, he has expanded his career over the past decade to include a five-season recurring role on the hit series Gilmore Girls; voiceover work on SpongeBob SquarePants and Robot Chicken; starring roles on Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde, The Rocky Horror Show and Jesus Christ Superstar; and appearances on ABC’s Sing Your Face Off, the comedy series Trailer Park Boys, MTV and VH1. In addition to Sebastian Bach’s performance, Oktoberfest will feature several renowned local bands and an authentic German polka band.
