Beim Setzen der Ankerstange und des Innengewindeankers wird der Mörtel durch die Gitterstruktur gedrückt und verbindet sich im Formschluss mit dem Lochstein. Dadurch wird die Last in den Baustoff geleitet. Das Setzen erfolgt in der Vorsteckmontage. Mit der Injektions-Ankerhülse können nicht tragende Schichten überbrückt werden. Die Zulassungen der jeweiligen Injektionsmörtel sind zu beachten.
