Retrofitting DAB+ to the original factory radio (via USB connection) Dension DAB+U Set Interface incl. suitable DAB+ windscreen antenna with external remote connection With the DAB+U you can retrofit digital radio reception to your original factory radio. All you need is the factory radio, which also has a USB connection. The DAB+U is connected via this USB port and is thus automatically supplied with power (an extra power connection is not necessary). Now you have to retrofit a DAB+ aerial in your vehicle (either the enclosed, suitable adhesive windscreen aerial, a roof aerial or a splitter which filters out a DAB+-compatible signal from the FM aerial). The DAB+ stations are displayed on the factory radio as virtual MP3 files, which ensures simple operation and great compatibility. The buffer size (station switching time) of each factory radio is different and is automatically adopted by the DAB+U. In most cases, this results in station switching times of approx. 4-10 seconds (in rare cases, unfortunately, even over 60 seconds). Please only use the antenna with external remote line included in the set as an adhesive disc antenna or if you want to use a different antenna then you need this phantom feed adapter! Please note: Windscreen antenna not suitable for vaporised or thermo-glazed windows and vehicles with windscreen heating Radio stations that begin with a dot (.) in their station name cannot be played at the moment (probably possible in the future through updates) ATTENTION: 1. not all factory radios can be adapted with this module and digital radio integrated.
