You may have questions that pop up during your time as a Feedback Rep. Most things are explained during the training or within the handbooks.   Have a look below at our Frequently Asked Questions if you need any additional help:   How do I handle sensitive or worrying issues? What if I am not able to get the desired outcome? What if I say the wrong thing? What if the University/staff don’t keep their word? Can I be a Feedback Rep whilst on placement? What if I don’t have any feedback to give? How long am I a Feedback Rep for? What should I do if I’m not being invited to meetings? What do I do if I can’t make a meeting? I want to be a Feedback Rep but what if I am not elected? How do I withdraw from my role? I’m a student and am having issues with the rep structures, where can I access help?     How do I handle sensitive or worrying issues? We ask all our Feedback Reps to keep in mind that some students may find it very difficult to share their issues, and when they do share information they are doing it because they have built up trust in you.   We ask you to handle their information with respect and only share it if they ask you to. If they ask to remain anonymous, make sure you don’t write their name on any information or copy anyone into emails/messages without their permission.   If you speak to a student and you are worried that they might be at risk of harm then their anonymity can be waved, and we ask that you tell a member of University or Students’ Union staff at the earliest opportunity. If you feel that they are at immediate risk of danger, or it is out-of-hours, we ask that you call the relevant emergency services.      What if I am not able to get the desired outcome? If you are not able to do something or get the preferred outcome then don’t worry.
