Our analysis shows that there was little, in any, improvement in the process for supporting ‘underperforming’ schools in 2020 and 2021. It highlights the urgent need for Provincial Heads of Department (HODs) to fulfil their duties in regard and ensure that schools get the holistic, tailored and effective remedial interventions.
