Los investigadores de la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena produjeron 1.128 publicaciones científicas registradas en la base de datos Journal Citation Report (JCR) en los años 2024 y 2025, según datos del Portal de Investigación de la UPCT. El 62% de estos artículos, un total de 699, se publicaron en las revistas de mayor impacto, situadas en el primer cuartil (Q1) de relevancia. Otras 294 (el 26%) se publicaron revistas Q2. En cuanto a las publicaciones en revistas con Sello de Calidad FECYT, en 2024 se publicaron 12 trabajos, de los cuales casi el 92% fueron en revistas clasificadas en Q1 o Q2. En 2025 fueron 16 publicaciones y un 75% en los dos primeros cuartiles. El Sello de Calidad de la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT) certifica que las revistas cumplen estándares exigentes de calidad editorial, transparencia en los procesos de revisión por pares, profesionalización de la gestión y buenas prácticas científicas.
