These are not cheap costume boots that fall apart after one day. Our boots generally last for years when worn regularly. We add extra leather where the boot overlaps so that they adjust to accommodate those endowed with large calves. Boots come standard with a blackened brass finish. Our boots tend to run on the roomy side as far as width goes. Generally people with wide feet still order their regular size. If you normally wear Men’s Size 9 - order size 9. If you normally wear Men’s size 9.5 – order size 10. Women’s sizes: Women’s sizes tend to be 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than men ‘s sizes by our best judgement. If you normally wear a women’s size 8 – order size 7. If you normally wear a women’s size 8.5 – order size 7.
