Skilled Trades Ontario is governed and managed by a Board of Directors and a Chief Executive Officer/Registrar, per the Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act, 2021.The Board of Directors consists of up to 11 members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. The Board is responsible for governance, which includes setting strategic priorities and overseeing the achievement of organizational objectives.The Chief Executive Officer/Registrar is also appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and is responsible for the operations of Skilled Trades Ontario.
