At Shreeji Food, we believe that festive cooking should be both authentic and easy. Today, we bring you a simple yet traditional Sheer Khurma recipe that will add sweetness to your Eid celebrations. What is Sheer Khurma? Sheer Khurma is a classic Eid dessert made with milk, vermicelli, dates, nuts, and aromatic spices. The name comes from Persian where Sheer means milk and Khurma means dates. This luxurious dessert is slowly cooked to create a creamy texture filled with rich flavours from dry fruits and fragrant ingredients. In many homes, Sheer Khurma is the first dish served on Eid morning to family members and guests. Its comforting taste and festive aroma make it beloved tradition across generations. To Prepare this delicious Sheer Khurma You Will Need: · Full cream milk · Vermicelli · Dates · Ghee · Almonds · Cashews · Pistachios · Raisins · Sugar · Cardamom · Saffron   Steps to Prepare – 1. Roast the vermicelli in ghee until it turns light golden brown. Stir it continuously to prevent burning. 2. In a separate pot, bring the milk to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce the flame and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes. This helps the milk thicken and develop a rich flavor. 3. Now add vermicelli into simmering milk. Stir well and cook for about 5 minutes until the vermicelli becomes soft. 4. Next, add chopped dates, almonds, cashews, pistachios, and raisins. 5. Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron strands. Mix everything well and let the mixture cook for another 5-7 minutes. The milk will slowly become creamy and aromatic. 6. Once the dessert reaches your desired consistency, turn off the heat.
