If you’re new here, thanks for stopping by – it’s so nice to meet you! Here are a few frequently asked questions to help us become better acquainted: Is your name really Jenny Clarinet? Sadly, no (at least not yet…). My friends gave me this nickname around 2007 when it became abundantly clear that I would probably never outgrow the clari-nerd phase. Why did you start Jenny Clarinet? I created Jenny Clarinet (the blog) in 2015 as a resource for my private students when I moved to Paris (more on that in a bit). I wanted this to be a helpful tool for any clarinetist to use to learn and improve on their musical journey (kind of like Google, but for clarinets). Where are you from? I’m from Alabama, but I have completed my clarinet performance degrees in three different countries – United States; Paris, France; and Montréal, Canada. I’ve been to over 30 countries, and I would like to visit as many different places as possible.
