The TTC-1 provides an interface between a tone remote control and a base station or repeater using the F1-F16 standard EIA function tones over a dedicated phone line, microwave path or telemetry link. The TTC-1 can also provide optional remote control of a base station using a regular phone line (POTS) with DTMF phones from anywhere on Earth. Activation of Monitor and PTT is controlled by VOX or * #. The TTC-1 is flash-upgradeable and includes automatic level control to compensate for line loss caused by remote controllers at greater distances or different manufacturers.
