the only indoor pistol and rifle club range in auckland city. central shooters provides the opportunity to learn to use pistols and rifles in a safe and responsible manner in a controlled indoor environment, and has been in existence for over 20 years. the club rooms and firing range are at street level at youthtown at 68a nelson street in central auckland and is available for group bookings or for casual visitors to attend the club’s open nights each thursday from 7pm. the range was originally built for .22 rifle with 10 bays of automatically returning targets. this was upgraded a few years ago to include most centre fire pistol calibers. shooting is a popular activity for school, scouts, air cadets, youth groups, or corporate groups. csi provides an pistol new zealand qualified range officer to instruct and assist. central shooters also provides a limited number of club owned firearms, hearing protectors and safety glasses. we have a lot more detailed information on this site. if you have any other questions please contact the club secretary
