Healthcare professionals both endure and share in countless traumas as they work tirelessly and unreservedly for their patients. While the collaboration between the Wales Deanery and DNA Definitive was refining MedTRiM, the approach was shared by Professor Terence Stevenson, Chair of the General Medical Council, who said "Doctors need 'emotional resilience training' like soldiers serving in Afghanistan." MedTRiM offers the military Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) initially led by the Royal Marines and the work into peer led traumatic stress support by Professor Neil Greenberg at Kings College London, and principles from both behavioural health and applied performance psychology. The MedTRiM App compliments the official course delivered by DNA Definitive and in collaboration with Wales Deanery. The MedTRiM App is designed to provided course materials and the necessary documentation and information for those MedTRiM qualified personnel carrying out the role of MedTRiM Practitioners.
