Older adults should do some type of physical activity every day. Any type of activity is good for you. The more you do the better. If you’re an older adult looking to establish an exercise routine, you should, ideally, be able to incorporate 150 minutes of moderate endurance activity into your week. This can include walking, swimming, cycling, and a little bit of time every day to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. This app contains physical activity guidelines for older adults, aged 65 and over, for general health and fitness, including simple workouts and programs for building exercise into your day. Doing exercises to improve your strength, balance and flexibility will help make you stronger and feel more confident on your feet.
