Tow Link ™ from Jerr-Dan recreates the tow and recovery scenario to provide informative data to advise operators on how to better use their equipment with Rigging Utilization and Tow Performance calculators. The Rigging Utilization calculator informs the operator of the percentage used of the rigging working load limit, while accounting for the reduced working load limit of the wire rope. The wire rope load and block loads are also tabulated and displayed for the selected scenario. This calculator now features an angle indicator with protractor functionality to help ensure the accuracy for degree inputs. The Tow Performance calculator determines the heaviest load that can be lifted while maintaining the chosen steer axle remaining weight percentage and overhang. This data is critical to efficient and safe operations. All calculations can be saved to aid in reviewing events or setting up new recoveries and picks.
