Труд Аль Имама Муслима по Хадисам называется Сахих Муслима точно так же, как подобный труд Аль Бухари называется Сахих Бухари. Сахих Муслима — это избранные 9200 Хадисов, отобранных из 300 000, которые вообще были им собраны. Муслим в большей или меньшей мере следовал примеру Аль Бухари, с которым он встретился в конце его жизни в Нисабуре. Собрание Хадисов Имама Муслима считается вторым по своей точности и достоверности после аналогичного труда Имама Аль Бухари.
