The archaeological Routes of Lesbos were developed in response to the desire of both island
visitors and locals to understand more about the ancient sites and the routes that may be
taken to explore them.
The routes are organized according to three criteria: chronological, geographic, and
thematic. The fundamental objective of the geographical routes, in particular, was to enable
one day-long exploration of the historic sites along each route.
Select one of the three classification criteria for the routes (chronological, geographic, or
thematic), and then enjoy the journey through time and the history of Lesbos.
