Stratega --------- Description The Stratega is a game that two players face off against each other, a turn-based game. Yo Can Play Versus CPU or Versus another Player Online by GameCenter. The Game The game is played in turns, alternating between the two players. On each turn the player must move a piece or attack an opposing piece. Initial Formation Before the start of the game, each player must choose the formation of his army, distributing the pieces as desired in the bottom 4 lines of the board. Movement Rules The pieces move one cell at a time, horizontally or vertically, except for the Explorer. No piece can move diagonally, jump over other pieces, or move to a space occupied by another piece. It is not allowed to jump over the lakes, or move inside it. The pieces move one at a time. The Explorer can walk as many free cells as he wants, horizontally or vertically. He can also walk and attack in the same turn. Attacking Rules When one of your pieces and one of your opponent's pieces are stuck, horizontally or vertically, it means they are in attack position. The piece with the lower rank is captured and removed from the board. If the victorious piece was the attacker, then it moves to the position of the captured piece. If the victorious piece was the attacked one, it stays in the position it is in. When two pieces of the same rank attack each other, both are removed from the board The attack is always optional. Special Attack Rules Bomb and Miner, all pieces that attack a bomb will be removed from the board. Except the miner, who disarms and captures the bomb. Marshal and Spy, the Marshal wins all other pieces of lower rank, except if attacked or attacking the Spy. Start a Game To start playing, you must have GameCenter enabled. Once authenticated in GameCenter, we will press the Stratega button. The screen to create or select a game will appear. When we create a new game, we will start by configuring our part of the board, our pieces will always be light colored, and we must fill the bottom four rows of the board. We will select which piece we are going to put, and then press on an empty cell to put the piece, or if we press on a cell that has a piece, we will remove it. Once our part of the board is filled, we will press the Start button to start the game. When it's our turn to move, we will hold down the piece while we move to the cell we want to move it, when it's the piece on the cell we will let go to finish our turn, and wait for the opponent's move. At any time we can press the pieces button, to see which pieces the opponent still has on the board. If we press the Home button, we will return to the beginning to select a game or create a new one.
