What is Rosier? Rosier is an app that helps us become who we want to become by celebrating acts integral to us becoming our better selves - those that demand us to step out of our comfort zones, that do not provide immediately tangible positive feedback, but nonetheless represent meaningful accomplishments that deserve to be recorded and celebrated What is a flower? A flower can be used to mark any accomplishment of yours that represents you stepping out of your comfort zone - whether it’s making progress towards building a new habit, like going to the gym or waking up early, or even less tangible achievements such as overcoming painful feelings, or resisting an urge. Click the ‘Plant a flower’ button in ‘My Garden’ to start recording your accomplishments! What is a harvest? When your entire garden is filled with flowers, your achievement will be celebrated by a harvest that can be used to redeem a prize - which is meant to create a positive feedback loop to motivate you to step out of your comfort zone What is a prize? Users can redeem a prize once they harvest their garden. A prize is anything you want to use to reward yourself for your hard work in repeatedly stepping out of your comfort zone. Prizes can be created by the user (e.g., you buy ice cream for yourself after harvesting your garden) or be a gift from friends who want to incentivize you to venture out of your comfort zone and accomplish difficult things. Gifts from friends come in two forms A ‘Gift Token’ is something the gift sender will give you once you harvest your garden (e.g., Mom sends you a gift token for a dress - this means Mom is willing to offer you a real dress when you harvest); it doesn’t have to be a real good though - it can be anything, even a hug or a kiss A ‘Secret’ is a piece of information that the gift sender is willing to share with you to reward you for your harvest - typically a fact about themselves that you don’t yet know (e.g., their favorite band, their ideal type, what their dream was when they were a kid, or even something spicier, such as whom their crush is) - the bottom line is it is something that will bring the two of you closer by helping you get to know the gift sender better Rosier allows users to gift a prize to friends to let users support their friends’ self-transformation journeys while strengthening their relationships; the content of each gifted prize will be unknown to the gift receiver until they redeem it, but the gift sender will have the option to provide a hint when creating the gift
