"ICIQ is a chemistry research CERCA centre and member of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology. The institute has 15 research groups working on catalysis (developing more efficient chemical processes), CO2 capture (using atmospheric CO2 to produce value added products like plastics or drugs), renewable energy (artificial photosynthesis, solar cells, biofuels) and computational chemistry (computational simulation of chemical phenomena). ICIQ has obtained 22 European Research Council (ERC) grants and 7 of our researchers are ICREA Professors."
