south gippsland railway is a not-for-profit organisation dependent on the work and contributions of dedicated volunteer members to succeed. sgr is a community operated railway preservation group, aiming to acquire and restore and operate railway locomotives, vehicles and heritage trains, maintain and upgrade rail infrastructure (track, sidings, signals), and provide a local attraction that will continue to be on the must do list in south gippsland. further work and plans includes upgrading track to lang lang for future extended operations.
