Lehrer Lämpel is an educational app that supports primary school children (usually 3rd or 4th. grade) to practise their long multiplication skills. The app supports two common notation schemes to cover most of the notations used. The app gives immediate feedback, where incorrect steps are marked red and where correct steps are marked green. Learners can ask Lehrer Lämpel for help at any time! Help first removes an erroneously learner step; if there are no errors, a single step is performed towards the solution. Each step is explained ! The app offers long multiplication for integer factors and decimal factors, and three levels of difficulty. Moreover, the app allows learners to define their own multiplication tasks (say, to support homework exercises), and there are also worksheets, and a mechanism to generate an arbitrary number of randomised exercises (given the chosen difficulty level). The app supports English, French and German, as well as the two most common notations for long multiplication. It is easy to use. Available on the iPad, for iOS9 or later. The app is ad-free.
