The Quest - Cursed Chess Set is an expansion to The Quest, a beautifully hand-drawn open world role playing game with old school grid-based movement and turn based combat. After enabling the expansion, you can explore new areas and adventures. However, if you don't have The Quest, you can also play the expansion as a standalone game. While you were adventuring in the country of Staunton, someone destroyed the King's two landmark Watch Towers. Witnesses swear it was you. You were there and did see them fall but know you are innocent. Now, against your better judgement, you've returned to Staunton to clear your name. The King has put a large bounty on your head so you face grave danger. You remember seeing two rat-like figures scuttle away when the towers vanished. Can you find them, learn what happened and emerge unscathed? To access the new areas (not applicable if you are playing the expansion standalone), go to Matras harbor and talk to captain Verra, then select "Cursed Chess Set" as your travel destination.
