Symbols2Write -Verbs has been designed to introduce and develop the student’s skills in using verbs. The students will develop and practise their ability to recognise verbs and correctly use the present and past tense. These activities are ideal for home, classroom and therapy use and have been developed in conjunction with education and speech and language professionals. Featuring Widgit symbols, engaging illustrations and clear recorded speech, Symbols2Write -Verbs gives the student the support they need to understand and use present and past tenses. The recorded speech gives natural intonations and tone with positive reinforcements to guide the user through the activities. There are two levels of activities. Level 1 activities begin with basic verb skills where the user begins to understand the concept of a verb and before exploring the spelling of verbs in the present tense. Level 2 activities deepens the skill of using verbs through the exploration of the past tense verb spelling including irregular verbs. There is a printable certificate for every student once they have completed an activity. These activities are closely related to National Curriculum objectives for English.
