The app presents meteorological information and data for Israel and the Middle East, and is updated online every few minutes. The app includes interactive rain radars from multiple sources: the Bet Dagan radar (Central Israel), the Har Uziyahu (Eilat and southern Israel) radar, and a world radar. The radars are shown in an enhanced and advanced view, alongside many features. Users can see their current location on the map, over the radar data, choose a background map, adjust the transparency level of the precipitation layers, and more. In addition, the app features our flagship project, code-named **“Suzy”** — the presentation of up-to-date meteorological data using colorful heat maps that show accumulated precipitation over short and long periods, from accumulation over the past hour to seasonal accumulation. Precipitation is also shown as a percentage of the long-term multi-year average and of the average up to the current time. The two-dimensional map is generated using advanced interpolation of data from hundreds of meteorological stations, including stations operated by the Israel Meteorological Service, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Water Authority, and privately owned stations. The app also includes forecast displays from high-resolution regional meteorological models. Users can choose the model, the type of data displayed—such as temperature, precipitation, relative humidity, wind, forecast radar, and more—the forecast range, and the atmospheric level, for example surface level, 850 hPa (about 1,500 meters), 500 hPa (about 5,500 meters), and so on.
