MindShoutOut is a Mental Step tool for thoughts you don't need to carry right now. It is part of Mental Background OS.
Capture the thought.
Set it aside.
Choose when or where it should come back.
Schedule it.
Add it to your calendar.
Associate it with Mental Steps.
Move it into Thought Space.
Or simply let it go.
A PLACE FOR WHAT YOU DON'T NEED TO CARRY RIGHT NOW
Something you don't want to forget.
Something unfinished.
Something you may need later.
Something that keeps asking for your attention.
Not every thought needs your attention right now.
MindShoutOut gives you a simple place to put it down without requiring you to decide everything immediately.
HOW IT WORKS
Capture a thought by typing or recording your voice.
Then choose what happens next:
• Schedule it to return later
• Add it to your calendar
• Send it to another MINDBEBOP tool
• Associate saved Mental Steps with the Shout
• Move it into Thought Space in MindBackyard
• Or let it go
The thought can stay somewhere you chose instead of asking you to keep carrying it.
MENTAL STEPS
You can associate one set of saved Mental Steps with a Shout.
When you tap that Shout's notification banner, the associated Mental Steps can open in MindEntry.
Associating them doesn't start the Mental Steps. They remain available until you choose to open them.
WHEN A THOUGHT RETURNS
A Returned Thought isn't just something to look at again. You decide what happens next.
• Handle it now
• Flip it in MindFlipOut
• Open associated Mental Steps in MindEntry
• Move into a quiet Zone in MindZoneOut
• Schedule it again
• Set it aside
• Or release it
A thought can return without becoming something you have to deal with immediately.
WHAT IT CAN HELP WITH
• Things you don't want to forget
• Unfinished thoughts
• Things to return to later
• Conversations still on your mind
• “Don't forget this” mental pressure
• Thoughts that may need an action later
• Thoughts that keep asking for attention
• Reducing what you need to carry in your head right now
MINDPULSE
MindShoutOut also provides optional MindPulse notifications for active Mental Steps in MindEntry.
When notifications are enabled for MindPulse, MindShoutOut can send periodic local notifications while those Mental Steps are active.
PART OF MINDBEBOP
MINDBEBOP is a modular system designed to reduce Thought Noise, support Mental Navigation, and anchor successful mental states.
MindShoutOut is one Mental Step tool within that system. A thought can return later, connect to Mental Steps, go to another MINDBEBOP tool, or move into Thought Space.
DESIGNED TO STAY LIGHTWEIGHT
• 100% free

• Optional tips are available if you'd like to support a solo developer
MindShoutOut doesn't require every thought to become a task or something to solve.
Sometimes you just need somewhere to put a thought so you don't have to carry it right now.
Set it aside.
Let it return later.
Move it somewhere else.
Or let it go.
