15 years later... an AI-assisted refactor of the modern rewrite of the app that started it all. Still free, still ad-free, and still open source. Tap the coin or shake your phone. It flips, it lands, it tells you which side came up. That's the whole pitch — everything else exists to make that one interaction pleasant. ★ 82 COINS TO FLIP All 50 US state quarters, plus the District of Columbia. Put your own photos on heads and tails. Pick an image, frame it with pan, zoom, rotate and mirror, and your coin joins the picker pinned to the top of your favorites. It's ringed in the same colors the app writes HEADS and TAILS in, so any picture still reads as a coin — switch the ring off if you photographed an actual coin. ★ STREAKS — NEW Turn it on and a run of identical results counts up beside the result: HEADS ×7. Your longest run for each side is kept in Settings. Streaks survive a restart, because the whole point is holding your run up to somebody hours later. ★ FAVORITES Star the coins you actually use and they collect in their own section at the top of the picker, so you're not scrolling past all 51 quarters to find the Loonie. Simple Coin Flip has been torn down and rebuilt twice since — once in 2023 as a Modern Android Development app, and again in 2026 with an AI pair programmer doing the typing. It is still, fundamentally, an app that shows you a picture of a coin. It is still free, still no ads or unsafe permissions, and still open source. No Android Wear support.
