Find the current activity name and package name of any Android app without a computer. DevLens shows the top activity class name and package in a floating overlay as you move between screens. No root, no USB cable and no adb shell dumpsys needed. Built for Android developers, QA testers and test automation engineers.
CURRENT ACTIVITY OVERLAY
Open any app and the current activity overlay shows which app and which activity are in front.
• Tap a name to copy it
• Show the package name, the activity class name or both
• Move the overlay, then change its width, text size and opacity
• Turn monitoring on and off from a Quick Settings tile
• Light, dark or system theme
PACKAGE NAME VIEWER
See the package name of the app in front, or browse every installed app and copy any package name from the list. Export the installed apps list for a spreadsheet.
ACTIVITY LOG
Every screen you open is saved with a timestamp, so you can retrace a navigation path later.
• Search the history
• Hide noisy apps
• Filter out class names with regex patterns
• Export the log as PDF, CSV or plain text
COPY LOG
Every package name and class name you copy in DevLens is kept in one place, ready for a test script, a ticket or a team chat.
APP INSPECTOR: EXPLORE INSTALLED APPS
See version, target SDK, min SDK, installer, install and update dates, build info and components (activities, services, receivers, providers) for any installed app.
• List every activity and see which are exported or launchable
• Read intent filters
• Launch an exported activity, or force launch one to reach a hidden screen
• Copy the matching adb shell am start command
• Measure app launch time: last, average and fastest
DEEP LINK TESTER
Send an intent or a deep link, such as an https link or a custom scheme, and see which app and screen opens it.
QA SESSION RECORDER
Start a recording, walk through the app you are testing, and stop. DevLens turns the session into a step list with times, the time spent per app, the longest screens and launch times.
• Share a session as bug report steps
• Export as CSV or as an adb script that replays the same screens
• Select several sessions to share, download or delete at once
MADE FOR TESTING WORK
Writing Appium or UI Automator tests? Get the appPackage and appActivity values in seconds. QA testers can attach exact screen names to bug reports. Developers can check navigation, deep links and screen transitions on a real device.
PRIVACY AND THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
DevLens is not an accessibility tool. It uses the Android Accessibility Service API only to detect which app and screen are in the foreground and to draw the overlay. It receives the package name and activity class name of the window on top. It does not read the text or content on your screen and does not perform actions for you. Your logs, sessions and copy history stay on your device unless you export or share them. DevLens only writes to the clipboard when you tap copy. It never reads your clipboard.
Other permissions:
• Display over other apps: needed to start the floating overlay
• Notifications: shows a persistent notification with a Stop button while monitoring runs
• Battery optimization (optional): keeps monitoring running on devices that stop background apps
• Query all packages: lists installed apps and their components in App Explorer
ADS AND PRICE
DevLens is free. Ads are served by Google AdMob inside the app only, never in the overlay. AdMob uses the advertising ID and may collect device data. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings. A one-time Remove Ads purchase removes all ads. There is no subscription.
