Gradient Weather is a detailed, highly customizable weather app. The color theme changes with the weather, you get configurable alerts, animated weather effects, and a dashboard you can actually arrange the way you want. 🎨 THEMES THAT CHANGE WITH THE WEATHER The app doesn't have a single color scheme. On a sunny day the UI shifts to warm amber. During a storm it goes deep blue-gray with a lightning flash effect. A clear night shows a quiet starfield behind your temperature. Foggy mornings get soft, muted tones. Beyond the automatic weather theme, you can set Material You (colors from your wallpaper), AMOLED true-black mode, a custom color, and font options including Lexend and OpenDyslexic for readability. Also, secret themes 👀. 🌤️ FORECAST Current conditions, hourly forecast, and up to 7-day daily view. Tap any hour or day for a full breakdown. 🔬 LOCALIZED ACCURACY The app includes a built-in accuracy engine that monitors how forecasts, and applies small corrections to bring temperatures and conditions closer to the truth. Results vary by location. 🔔 WEATHER ALERTS Set up notifications for the things that matter to you: • Frost and freezing temperatures • UV index above your chosen threshold • Pollen and hay fever levels, per allergen (grass, tree, weed) • Air quality drops • Rapid pressure changes • Evening summary of tomorrow's forecast • Official government weather warnings (Yellow, Amber, Red) • Wardrobe Advisor: outfit suggestion for the day ahead (Beta) • Imminent rain nowcast (available in supported regions) Pick two alerts for free, or go unlimited with Premium. 📊 WEATHER CARDS Toggle on the ones you want and rearrange them in any order: • Rain bar chart with minute-level radar data • Pollen and hay fever levels • Sea conditions: wave height, period, direction, water temperature • Sunrise and sunset arc with live sun position • Wind compass, UV index, air quality, pressure sparkline, moon phase and more Some cards are region-specific and hidden when data isn't available. 🌧️ WEATHER EFFECTS Rain falls on screen. Snow drifts. Clouds roll across the forecast screen. During thunderstorms the screen flashes and your phone vibrates on each lightning strike. On a clear night, a starfield fades in behind the temperature. All effects fade out as you scroll down and there’s also the option to switch these off if you prefer. 🗺️ MAP AND EMOJI WEATHER REPORTS The map shows live weather across your area: weather icons at each location, precipitation layers, emoji reports from people nearby, and readings from public weather stations. Get a push notification when someone spots rain, snow, or a rainbow close to you. Station data includes automatic bias correction when local readings disagree with the forecast. 📱 WIDGETS Two widgets for your home screen: • Small widget: weather icon and temperature. Clean and minimal. • Large widget: current conditions plus an hourly forecast strip. Resize it to also show the weekly forecast below.
