All you need is a smart device and an Internet connection! The Teide Legend Tour experience starts at your holiday accommodation, as you travel towards the magnificent Teide National Park. The audioguide will reveal the secrets of this extraordinary island along the road you choose to access the base of Mount Teide. Learn about Tenerife’s volcanology, history and anthropology during your excursion with the audioguide, which will also direct you to the most iconic viewing points as you drive across the different landscapes. If you would like to get even closer to nature, the audioguide will tell you about paths that you won’t want to miss for unforgettable walks through the Park. Enter this remarkable Garden of Eden with its myriad different microclimates, and its rich plant and animal life, including a whole host of endemic species. Your final stop on the Teide Legend Tour, the Cable Car Visitors’ Centre, offers you a unique opportunity to find out more about Guanche culture with a visit to the “Science and Legend” exhibition. On this exciting and educational journey, the gods and the indigenous Guanches both put forward their version of the events that resulted in the last great eruption of the Teide volcano. The exhibition also presents the scientific explanation of the eruption. Everything is explained in a simple, entertaining style. Meet Tassat, Guayota, Achamán and the other characters of the Teide Legend at the “Science and Legend” exhibition (admission included in your audioguide ticket), where the whole family will enjoy learning about the volcanological history of the island by means of audiovisual information screens. You can even admire a faithful reproduction of a Guanche mummy, loaned by the Tenerife Museum of Nature and Archaeology. After the exhibition, you can visit the official souvenir shop, where you can buy the perfect memento of your Teide Legend Tour experience. Don’t forget to immortalise your visit in a photocall along with Tassat and Guayota. Share your experience on your social networks by adding the hashtag #teidelegend to your post! Fancy a break after your adventure? Drop into the Visitors’ Centre café-restaurant, and enjoy the mouthwatering dishes on offer, all prepared using local products. Try a barraquito, Tenerife’s star drink, while you admire the spectacular views from Spain’s highest restaurant. Definitely the best possible way to end this incomparable tour.
